Our Pool Services

Here is what we provide for pool projects.

Design

We develop pool designs based on your property conditions, intended use, and budget. This includes pool shape, size, depth configuration, and placement relative to your home and existing landscape.

Integration Planning

A pool does not exist in isolation. We plan how the pool relates to surrounding elements, patios, decks, drainage, fencing, equipment location, and landscape. This coordination happens before construction, not after.

Permitting

Pool construction requires building permits and often health department approvals. We prepare applications, engineering documents, and coordinate with local authorities throughout the approval process.

Construction

Our crews handle excavation, steel, plumbing, electrical, gunite application, tile, coping, and plaster. We manage subcontractors and coordinate inspections at each phase.

Surrounding Hardscape

We build the pool deck, patios, and any related structures as part of the same project. One contractor handling both pool and hardscape eliminates coordination problems between separate contractors.

What We Build

We build custom gunite (concrete) pools. Here is what that means and what it does not.

Gunite Construction

Gunite is sprayed concrete applied over a steel reinforcement framework. It allows for custom shapes, sizes, and depth configurations. The pool shell is built on-site to your specifications, not manufactured in a factory.

Custom Design

Each pool is designed for your specific property and preferences. We are not limited to predetermined shapes or sizes. Complex lot conditions, unusual dimensions, and specific features can be accommodated.

Finish Options

Interior finishes include plaster, pebble, quartz aggregate, and tile. Each has different appearance, texture, durability, and cost characteristics. We help you understand the tradeoffs.

Features

Options include spa integration, tanning ledges, water features, lighting, heating systems, and automation controls. Each adds cost and complexity. We help you determine what makes sense for your situation.

What We Do Not Build

We do not install vinyl liner pools, fiberglass pools, or above-ground pools. We do not sell or install hot tubs or swim spas. If you are looking for these options, we are not the right contractor for your project.

What Are You Looking For?

Our Process

Pool construction is a multi-month process. Here is how we handle it.

Phase 1: Consultation

We visit your property to discuss what you want and evaluate site conditions. We review access, utilities, soil conditions, setbacks, and any factors that could affect construction. This consultation is free.

Phase 2: Design and Proposal

We develop a design and provide a detailed proposal with specifications and pricing. Pool projects have many variables, so we itemize what is included and what is not.

Phase 3: Permitting

We submit permit applications and manage the approval process. Permit timelines vary by jurisdiction and can take several weeks to several months.

Phase 4: Excavation and Steel

We excavate the pool shape and install the steel reinforcement framework. This is inspected before proceeding.

Phase 5: Plumbing and Electrical

We install plumbing lines, drains, returns, and electrical conduits. Equipment pad and connections are prepared.

Phase 6: Gunite

The concrete shell is sprayed and cured. This requires time before the next phase can proceed.

Phase 7: Tile, Coping, and Decking

Waterline tile and coping are installed. Pool decking and surrounding hardscape are constructed.

Phase 8: Plaster and Startup

Interior finish is applied. Pool is filled, equipment is started, and water chemistry is balanced. We walk you through operation and maintenance requirements.
